Appointments
Virgin Islands Heart provides a variety of diagnostic and consultative cardiovascular services. We are open Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. In general, physician consultations will be scheduled from 12:30 p.m. until 4:30 p.m. Diagnostic tests such as ambulatory rhythm monitoring, blood pressure evaluations, and echocardiograms are scheduled at a variety of times during the day. We value your time and hope to minimize any inconveniences to your schedule. Therefore, we ask for your assistance in expediting your care as follows:
- Please have insurance information and personal data accessible when calling for an appointment. This alleviates delays on the actual day of your appointment. We appreciate your patience if we are unable to complete the appointment process immediately.
- Please attempt to maintain a record of your scheduled appointment. VI Heart will make every attempt to confirm your appointment with you, but
we ask that you assist in this process.
- Please inform us of any need to cancel or reschedule an appointment. This will allow us to assist any patients needing emergent or expedited care. Every attempt will be made to reschedule your appointment in a timely manner.
- Please call during regular business hours to schedule appointments.
- Arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time.
- Bring all prescribed
medications with you to the appointment.
- Payment for services, including insurance co-pays, are due upon arrival unless alternative arrangements have been made prior to your visit.
Clarification of Billing Policies
The staff of Virgin Islands Heart realizes that health care can be a costly and confusing proposition. We accept most primary and secondary insurances as well as currency, checks and major credit cards. We also would like to inform our patients that if any diagnostic or therapeutic tests or procedures are performed in Virgin Islands Heart, the statement will contain any additional charges to your account. Procedures done by Dr. Flood in the hospital, such as nuclear stress testing, will contain a facility fee (Hospital) and a professional fee (Dr. Flood). We hope that this clarifies any questions one may have regarding bills; hospital charges, etc. We will be happy to assist you with any questions regarding statements, billing and payments. Simply call our office at 340-714-3278.
